Innovation is…Construction?

New eyesores are developing across George Mason University’s campus this spring. Construction of new buildings and roadways decorated in orange or silver fencing is a reoccurring trend on the Fairfax campus.

GMU is constantly looking for ways to improve the appearance of the campus as each semester passes. The additions of road lanes off of Braddock Road onto Patriot Circle, and the soon to be completed building next to Exploratory Hall (formerly Science and Tech II), constitute only a few of the current projects.

“It makes our campus look ugly now,” said Millod Shahsiah, senior at GMU about the construction. “But, I know it’ll be much better once it’s all over.”

Who is to know when the construction will end? For the spring semester, students must watch as buildings grow and a new GMU forms.
